The Cambridge School of Weston – Weston, MA
Advancing Science Education with Sustainable Solar Integration
The Cambridge School of Weston is an educational institution known for fostering educational depth and richness for students in grades 9-12, promoting innovation and collaboration. Their Science Department is dedicated to cultivating a genuine interest in the sciences through an approach that prioritizes experimental design and analysis.
The school recently installed a 48kW solar photovoltaic system that not only contributes to the environmentally enhanced Garthwaite Science Center building but also integrates with the broader science curriculum. State-of-the-art monitoring systems allow students to delve into production, efficiency, and environmental aspects related to clean and sustainable renewable energy generation on the roof. IRC’s Solar Roof Systems played a pivotal role in providing the ballasted solar solution as part of its innovative Solar Power Purchase Agreement, engineering, installing, and maintaining both the solar equipment and roof systems within the ongoing program.
The Cambridge School of Weston’s commitment to sustainability and innovative education is exemplified by the incorporation of solar solutions into its Science Department. This project encourages hands-on learning, empowers students to analyze clean energy production, and contributes to a more eco-conscious future.
